It's Peachy!

Haden & Hannah enjoying Easter Morning

Hannah is just about 7 months old and developing her very distinctive personality moment by moment. She wakes up each morning very, very happy - a trait she must have inherited from distant relatives - as daddy and mommy do not love early mornings. She greets the day with shrieks of delight - starting off slow - "bababababa dadadada mamamama AHHHHHHHHHHHH!" When we peek our heads over the rails of the crib - we are greeted with her gummy smile and more shouts of AHHHHHHHHHH.

Try as we might, Hannah has resisted solid food of all forms. She hates rice cereal. She hates prunes (ok - who doesn't), she hates peas (well so does mommy) - she even hates applesauce! The doc has told us to keep trying, so we keep placing her bibs on each evening in search of the food that will magically capture her. Of course, Wade while eating a Cobb salad, let Hannah lick his blue cheese dressing laden fork only for her to come back at him with mouth open. Oh yes - does she want number 1 baby food? Oh no. She wants blue cheese dressing.

Despite that detour off the culinary road, we lo and behold found - PEACHES! Last night while daddy, mommy and sissy dined on pot roast - Hannah enjoyed (ok, let's loosely use the verb) - some pureed peaches. VICTORY!! We will see if the trend to enjoying food continues. Let's keep our fingers crossed!

Your baby is so beautiful! She sounds like an adventurous eater. I use http://www.babyfood101.com to help me find great foods to introduce to my baby.
Happy eating!

Such a beautiful family, Nicole! Good luck with the foods... oddly. Greta loved the prunes- LOL, but boy did they make for a messy diaper! She didn't like rice cereal either though, unless it was mixed with something else.
