4 months old

January

Click for all the many pictures we've taken :)

It's amazing how many changes happen in such a short period of time. We went to the doctor for her 4 month checkup and had to get a shot - which mommy took like a champ (oh - well - I now know what the phrase "it's going to hurt me more than it hurts you" means)

Stats -
weight - 12lbs 13ozs - between 25 & 50th percentile
height - 25 in - 75th percentile
head circumference - 16 in - between 25 & 50th percentile

She's a diminutive one - but has a huge personality. She's trying on her voice these days - abandoning the small purrs of "ahhgoo" for shouts of any vowel she can manage "AAAHHHH, "YEAHH"- with her tongue sticking straight out. She doesn't quite squeal with delight - more like gurgles. She's clasping her hands together - much more interested in getting her hands on Princess and stuffing her toes into her mouth. She is also fascinated be the apples in the bowl on the counter and has managed to gum heartily at the shiny red skin. The funniest is her intense grab for a beer bottle and pulling it to her open mouth. We're going to have to keep our eye on her!!

Thanks to Donna - her day care lady - she's now on a pretty regular nap schedule (can I get an Amen). She is quite patient with us adults as she has successfully sat through church TWICE (ok - I know some of those that might be reading are on the cusp of fainting and falling out as a result of our heading to church - but hey -we're trying to be good citizens). She was also pretty accomodating as we sat and watched the Super Bowl (and sadly our Cards didn't win). It makes us optimistic about our upcoming air travel in March. Phoenix to NY. Keep your fingers crossed!!
