October 30 was Hannah's 2nd doctor's appointment. The first was the Saturday after birth. At her monthly checkup she weighed in at 9lbs 11oz - a full 2lbs 11oz greater than her birth weight! She matched her weight gain in height gain - measuring 23 inches - 2 inches longer than at birth. The little nugget has been growing! Maybe all that biological activity is the reason for her intermittent crankiness over the last couple of weeks. Growing could be uncomfortable....

The doctor's visit also included her first vaccine - which brought Hannah & mommy to tears. Although for
Hannah, the rest of the visit warranted little reaction from her - as she slept through most of it rather peacefully.

Wade and I have started a bedtime ritual - a bath, followed by PJs then daddy plays the guitar and sings while mommy feeds her. Daddy is practicing all his songs and Hannah is an attentive audience - as evidenced by the picture to the right :) Keep your fingers crossed - we're hoping this ritual sticks and kicks off at least 5 hours of sleep - and hopefully longer in the not so distant future.
