Back at home

The Newhouse Family is back at home with its newest member - Hannah Jane. What a ride to get here! 36 hours of labor - stalled at 7cm dilated - we did a c-section. Wade was a little nervous a few times over the course of our time at the hospital - making him remember John's advice "stay away from hospitals" (so true Dr. Sturgeon). We could regale you with the dirty details of issues and frights - but, since baby and mom are fine - there just doesn't seem to be a need.

Hannah Jane Newhouse was born at 5:45 pm, September 29 - she was 7 pounds and 21 inches - and totally cute - looking an awful lot like her daddy.

Because of the c-section, we were in the hospital until Thursday and happily set up camp in the comfort of our home by Thursday afternoon. Like all new parents, we're sleep deprived and looking to establish a routine. We're not hopeful that it will abate or that will happen for a few weeks. We look forward to the next few bleary eyed weeks as we get to know our munchkin/peanut/bundle of fun to love/monkey. We'll keep you posted.
